How to Adjust Your New E-Mail Filter
No more unwanted, annoying, or offensive E-Mails.
Log on to http://login.postini.com/exec/login to access your new E-Mail filtering. Put in your entire email address, and then your password, and click “Log On”.
From the Message Center, it will immediately show you any blocked emails you’ve gotten. Once any E-Mails are deleted, they go to the “Removed” folder. Click there to go to your “removed” folder and entirely delete those E-Mails by clicking the “Empty Trash” button. At any time, you can click on “Message Center” at the top to be taken back to the main page.
In the message center it will show any messages that it believes to be spam or contain a virus. It is possible that some messages are here by mistake. If you are unsure click on the subject line of the message and it will open so you can read it. You can select to remove the message which will delete it, or deliver the message which will send it to the local mail server so that you will get it the next time you check your mail. Place a check mark next to any messages you don’t want or if you don’t want any of them put a check in the top box next to where it says sender and it will select all the messages, and press the remove button. This will delete them from the list. Then place a check next to the ones you want to keep, or put a check in the box next to where it says sender to select all the messages, and press the deliver button. Once you push deliver it will take you to another screen where you can select from the ones you delivered to add to the approved list so that any messages from that sender will not be stopped by the filter in the future. Place a check next to the senders you trust and then click the continue button.
Click on the “Account Settings” at the top right. From there, you can add another E-Mail address if you have one. By default, most users of Local Net Plus have only one E-Mail address. You can also tell it to remember you username and password. Meaning, when you log on, it will automatically know who you are without you having to put in your username and password.
At the top, click on the “Junk E-Mail Settings”. From here you can set it to be as lenient, or aggressive as you’d like. Basically meaning how much junk mail it blocks. The more aggressive you set it… the more heavily it blocks E-Mails containing that type of material. You can also tell it to block, or let specific senders through. Once you have it set how you’d like, you can click “Save Changes” and enjoy no more unwanted junk mail. (Spam).
